If you have faced anti-black racism in a local Muslim setting please use the below template letter to email/send to the organisation where it occurred:
To whom this may concern,
I am writing to report a racist incident that occurred on [date] at [name location].
[Briefly describe incident]
[Briefly describe how you were made to feel]
Given that this occurred in a Muslim context, I would like to bring your awareness to a forgotten sunnah in our religion: that of racial equity. The prophet [pbuh] said in his last sermon that:
“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over a white – except by piety and good action”
The incident that occurred at [name location] is unacceptable in our religion and in light of this I am asking that you investigate and change the policy within [name organisation] so this incident does not occur again.

If the incident took place in a secular setting please write to your MP using the below template letter:
To whom this may concern,
I am writing to report a racist incident that occurred on [date] at [name location in MP’s constituency].
[Briefly describe incident]
[Briefly describe how you were made to feel]
This is unacceptable and repeat incidents should be met with firm ramifications within your constituency. I am appalled that this incident occurred and I urge you to investigate and adopt appropriate measures to ensure that such an incident does not happen again.
If you would still like advice please email contact@blackmuslimforum.org and we will endeavour to help you as best we can.
